The Ministry
The Ministry of the Attorney General delivers justice services to Ontarians by: prosecuting crime; supporting victims of crime; providing decision-making and justice support services to vulnerable people; providing criminal, civil and family courts and related justice services that are efficient and effective; providing legal advice and services to government.
The Division
Corporate Services Management Division provides strategic support and advice to the Ministry in the areas of: business and fiscal planning, human resources, facilities management, justice security, and the coordination of key strategic projects. Corporate Services Management Division also delivers Freedom of Information, French language and audit services in partnership with relevant central agencies to the justice sector as a whole. The Assistant Deputy Attorney General/CAO, Corporate Services Management Division, reports directly to MAG's Deputy Attorney General.

What can I expect to do in this role?
In this role you will: • Provide leadership, expertise and support for the development and enhancement of the knowledge, skills and core competencies in project management • Lead project teams in the identification, development and implementation of plans, processes and strategies to support the implementation of large, complex, high-risk and priority initiatives • Manage projects for multiple and concurrent new business initiatives • Promote the principles, methodologies and standards for project management excellence across the Ministry
How do I qualify?
Project Management and Strategic Expertise
• You have knowledge of project, product and change management principles, methodologies, principles, best practices and tools to provide leadership, support and advice across the ministry • You have knowledge of the project management lifecycle, documentation and development, including business cases and integrated project planning • You can align projects and initiatives to the ministry's strategic plan and have the ability to provide strategic expertise and report back on key performance measures
Communication and Relationship Management Skills
• You have expertise in creating and managing complex stakeholder relationships • You can work collaboratively to resolve issues, negotiate changes and shifts in priorities • You can lead consultations with stakeholders ensuring a shared understanding • You can respond to issues, provide recommendations and prepare reports • You can create, lead and present briefings on complex issues analysis
Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
• You demonstrate sound judgment, sensitivity and a high degree of political acuity • You can interpret and apply policy, procedures and legislation • You support change by seeking out new ideas, developing innovations, conducting risk assessments and creating strategic solutions
Leadership Skills
• You can provide constructive and supportive guidance and coaching to develop and enhance the project management knowledge, skills and abilities of others • You can provide advice and or support to project teams and senior management in order to inform decision making and delivery of initiatives and projects
Financial and Procurement Knowledge
• You have knowledge of financial management, financial oversight and related administrative policies and procedures (ex. estimating, budgeting) • You have experience in procurement and budget management to conduct project related financial tracking and estimating
