Our Saskatoon office is currently looking for a corporate legal assistant to join our team and work with our growing corporate client base. This position will offer an opportunity for the successful candidate to continue to develop their skills, broaden their experience and challenge themselves with the potential for growth within the team.

The ideal candidate will have good practical training and experience from working in a busy corporate practice and will have graduated from an accredited legal program (equivalencies will be considered). Candidates must be able to multi-task and prioritize workload, pay attention to detail, and have excellent organization, communication and written skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing annual maintenance packages for Saskatchewan and federal entities
  • Preparing documents such as change of registered and records office, change of head office address and changes/updates to attorney for service
  • Assisting with filing changes to directors and shareholders
  • Preparing monthly invoicing related to annual maintenance packages
  • Assisting with monthly reminder statements
  • Attending to filing annual returns with Saskatchewan Corporate Registry and Corporations Canada
  • Conducting Saskatchewan and federal corporate searches, maintaining the integrity of the ALF corporate database, virtual minute books and physical minute books and file records
  • Preparing correspondence and/or reporting to clients/agents as required
  • Scanning and uploading corporate documents to virtual minute books and document management system
  • Assisting with file openings and closings

Qualifications include:

  • Graduate of a recognized legal assistant program (equivalencies will be considered)
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality and discretion
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and handle a fast-paced work environment with a high attention to detail
